Ive got an 05 with 180k on it , had lash checked 3 times but only
needed adjustment once at 100k . I did put a new timming chain
tensioner ang chain then . I dont kno how much weight you haul
but i used 20wt fork oil with the last fork seal job and it made a huge
diff in the mountains and twistys . Also helibar bridge has been the
best mod ever to my 08 .

Wow! That's a lot of miles!!! I thought about changing the cam chain tensioner as I've heard it goes bad but mine doesn't seem to make any noise so I left it. Yeah, Helibar is what I have on the set-back and indeed it is a nice design. On the fork oil, I'm into soft suspension, not really that aggressive of a rider so I'll probably go lighter. Have you had any problems with the rear mono-shock? Mine seems fine but was wondering how long they last?

The stock rear shocks are kinda wimpy for me i normally change
them at about 40 to 50k but im about 300 lbs plus gear and the
woman . We also live in eastern ky with real bad roads coal country !
