First starting new Champion 2000W dual fuel gen

It's amazing how when it seems like you've just got a splash of fuel left in the tank and you want to run your generator out of fuel, the sucker will run for an hour with a load on it.
Amazing! Last time I drained my generator, it ran a lot longer than I expected. I plugged in the electric edger and weed whipper and did my front lawn. Couldn't be more than a cup of gas total between the bowl and the tank.

Not sure if my Dad broke in the old Montgomery Ward 5hp Briggs 2200wat generator properly or not. Change the oil after a 50 hour run and ran it for 2 weeks that way at 2 houses to keep freezers a fringes going. Used any gas I could get after ice storm. Those old flat head B&S motors are really tough.

We’ve always put some sta-bil in our e10 gas and ran the unit once every 4-6 months for ~5 minutes and never once had an issue with starting, phase separation, or any other issue in any of our power equipment.
