'77 MG Midget 1500 Not the most desirable vintage of the car, but a whole lot of fun and good to learn on. But small..... We will never see cars this simple and basic again.

Didn't think I had any contemporary pics, but found and scanned these.

This rather tired but otherwise mostly complete and unmolested ~50K mile Midget found me as I was getting back into the hobby after school, etc. She got a complete electrical R&R, new crank bearings, minor cosmetics, new top, fuel tank, etc...and E Code lights and a Moto Lita wheel. Removed the Pioneer radio and crazy speakers that weighed as much as the wheels. I had her for ~8 years until my TR6 appeared and I sold the MG to a friend who is enjoying her to this day.

How were the carbs? I had a Triumph with Strombergs that I could never get quite right.
This one was fine, but it only had a single and it was converted to a manual choke. Biggest carb problem I had was when I had a 'specialist' rebuild it. I installed it and it ran poorly. It had come back w media still in the float bowl...... ZS's seem to need rebuilds ~5 years or so.
