Firefox not right after "upgrade"

My daughter was on the computer yesterday and Firefox went through an automatic upgrade. Now I cannot delete email and I can't do replies or quotes here on BITOG. Cookies are on. I can do everything with IE and that's what I'm using to post now.
Anyone else ever experience this? Will do a virus scan shortly.

Haven't had the problem after the update... Maybe something messed up in the process.

I would uninstall FF, reboot your computer and reinstall after downloading it again through IE.

Then reboot after the install and see how it goes.

I have had issued in the past with FF updates, but not the most recent update.

Make sure and backup the Firefox Profile folder before you do anything, so your settings and bookmarks are saved.

C:\Documents and Settings\"yourname"\Application Data\Mozilla

Keep that folder saved as part of normal backups.

Before you do that, why not create a second profile and see if the problem is in your profile, vs how FireFox runs.

I think you can run firefox with the -ProfileManager flag and it will let you create another profile.

I have a profile for work and a profile for personal browsing, so I can have different book marks, home page, etc.

So maybe try a new profile before uninstalling and re-installing.
