Find me some cheap dish detergent

I find the Cascade Platinum pods+a shot of liquid detergent in the pre rinse cup works the best…. $20 for a 62 count box on Amazon. But my water is hard with a ton of iron…. Then again doing that my dishes come out spotless.
That's exactly what we do and our water is not hard. Life is too short to eat out of unclean dishes.

Ya. Those big bottles are intended to be used as frequently as your smaller bottles. Just make sure you keep the cap closed and you should be fine at worst it's a minor annoyance.

Never had a problem with Dawn or Palmolive over the course of 15 years or so. We have been buying the 1/2 gallon jugs of that up until the Kirkland. We will go back to Dawn. I usually try Kirkland stuff. Most of their stuff is good, some is terrible IMO. I don't think there's any wrong in the performance of the soap, just some chemical is missing or added to cause the gumming up.

I use what is cheapest at BJs. Usually BJs brand or Finish.

One thing my Dad did and I thought it was a good idea was to run the kitchen faucet until it's hot then start the dishwasher.

Hot water and a decent dishwasher detergent = clean dishes.
