Finally got my bench vise - age/info?

Absolutely, and potentially great-great grandpa's vise as well.
I don't know if i would clean it up much with a wire brush. There is something about the patina that is there from your grandfather. I might wipe it down with a light oil and lube it well all over but if it were my grandfathers vise i would not wire brush it.

Yeah I like the dark brown color, so Im not thinking Ill wire brush it.

Your great great grandfather created some of those dents building and fixing stuff over a century ago. Too cool. thumbsup
