Filter cutter

I use the Longacre I got it on Amazoom used my points and got it for $32 and change.

I purchased the Longacre cutter about eight years ago and have no problems with it. One thing I didn't like about it when I first got it was the fact that the cutter wheel rotated on a threaded portion of the axle bolt. Might call it picky but I think things that rotate should do so on a solid journal. Found a socket head cap screw that had a long grip so that the cutter on my tool rotates on a journal. Seems like an engineering faux pas for a well designed cutter.
 
to be honest I think all these filter cuttings are almost useless as no one ever finds out first what the filter media quality/efficiency is. barring a mechanical failure.
commenys are "looks nice" etc.
 
I had my Snap-On dealer source me one. He found me a fantastic billet aluminum one, don't know the brand but it's cut dozens and is anodized red. I paid $20 per week for it. Wife none the wiser since I just kept paying the truck account.
