If memory is correct, the first town in California across the state line is Baker California (could be bad memory). What I did not forget is they have six or so gas stations, all charging big, big bucks per gallon. But in their defense, Terribles in Nevada just before the state line, which claims to be thr world's largest Chevron dealer, was also charging very fat prices.Looking at Google Earth, if you need gas there....you're paying what they're asking.
We (on east coast) called premium gas "high test" back when.Moneybags...
When I was a pump jockey at the Mobil Station in High School, I used to ask the drivers, "Pump Ethel?"
This station is on 40 and is known to gouge. Read the reviews. https://g.co/kgs/S5h6ty. I took another pic in Barstow but it don't compare lolIf memory is correct, the first town in California across the state line is Baker California (could be bad memory). Seems these stations are designed to ring the register of the people slipping away for Las Vegas. And they do. I head to Barstow to fill up my F350 and save about $40 over the stateline gas stations.
Gas station attendant: "You want regular or Ethyl?"What was the line from Duel? "If Ethyl don't mind"?
