Favorite tool starting to fail

Doesn't seem to be anything wrong inside. Do I pack it with grease or just clean it out with carb cleaner and put it back together again?
Soak it in atf after use then exchange it next time you go to HF. Grease would be too thick IMO and would make assembly a bit harder than it should be.

THAT TOOL ROCKS!!! I have one as well and man it take the abuse! I originally got one because my son had one and I like the extension feature and used it more than my better tools because it was just that darn good. Mine is showing a lot of wear but I use it like a breaker bar lol.

My best solution is to just go buy 5 more and store then away lol

I have five of these in various locations. I love them, even though I have probably 50 ratchets including many Snap-On Dual 80s. Harbor Freight sells two versions of this ratchet that look the same. The 61711 is made in China and is junk. The 62311 is made in Taiwan and is excellent. I have held both, and the fit and finish on the 61711 is far inferior.
