Hello,

I have an odd issue with my power locks. When I hit the unlock button on both the passenger and driver side door the car unlocks for half a second and then instantly relocks. When I hit the lock button nothing happens.

The doors lock and unlock just fine from the key fob though.

Anyone know what could possibly cause this problem?

Id imagine that with it getting cold, one of the locks is not working well, and is showing the system some kind of high resistance, so the system fears that something isnt right and reverses.

Perhaps the signal duration or force level is different with the fob, which is why that works?

I know on my old BMW, when it gets cold, one of the locks is stiff, and then when I unlock with the fob, I hear the relays click but no actuation. If it is unlocked, it will go down fine with the remote.

Try to manually actuate all the locks and see if one seems stiffer than the rest.

Can you give us year, make and model. Sounds eerily similar to the problem I had with my sons Bonneville. Driver side door switch was bad, a common problem with some of these

Forgot to add, I would disconnect the switch on one side at a time (driver and then passenger) and try to operate form the other connected side.
