My niece's 2015 Oddy with 150K threw a P0301. Dash light galore! Here's the PITA back 3; installed 1 year ago.
I replace the plugs with NAPA; still got the P0301. I will swap coils #1 and #4 and see if the miss moves.
Got other stuff to do; probably have to wait until tomorrow.
Any guidance is appreciated.

Pics not showing for me...

several things need to be addressed here, One being, it may not be counterfeited plugs.. If the system has a code then the code needs to be cleared or it will continue to return even if the part has been repaired. Next, Lets assume for a moments that one is running different fuel or a fuel which has more then the average added ethanol. Normal limits are 8%-10% ethanol added to regular gasoline. As of late I have seen signs saying that the ethanol levels have been increased. In other words, if one simply tops off their tank say $10.00 this will send a code to the system very similar to that of your misfire code. Typically one needs to wait until half a tank or less before top off. if one has replaced the plugs then have the coil packs also replaced. But again clear the code and disconnect the battery during this procedure.

Thanks; I should have been more clear. I have a dongle and Torque Lite on my cellphone. I cleared the code after installing the plugs.

I have to say, these plugs are definitely fake. NGK Lasers last 120K easy. Those are well worn. They were like $60 for 6 while the real ones are more than $25 each.

Not so long ago you dealt with fake plugs on another vehicle.
Spot on @PimTac

Wifey's TSX.
Friend's TSX.
Niece's Odyssey.

There's probably another one out there... I've bought lots of car parts on Amazon; the 2 day shipping, cheap prices, etc. has been very beneficial.
I bought a set of coils for my Tundra when it hit like 200K. That might have been Ebay, not sure... Let's just say the originals are back in.

My niece is a widow who is raising 2 sets of twin girls on her own and the rest of her family needs her help as well. Wendy is amazing. Those kids are a bright spot in my life. We have a lotta laughs. You may recall, a year ago summer my BIL Mark and I flew to TX to help them move back to CA.

The counterfeit market is big and wide. You are not the only one who fell into that trap.

There's a difference between a counterfeit and a clone.. a counterfeit would have the "NGK" in some other script or color.. while a clone fake can or could use identical part numbers. what I'm suggesting is that even though it's not an NGK or an NGK counterfeit, it's merely a clone fake which attempts to use bogus part numbers. clearly if the vendor listed this as "NGK"s he would risk losing his account on amazon or ebay etc.. Again these are not NGK merely clones using an identical NGK serial number. Buyer beware..

Brief update... I swapped coils 1 and 4. Trouble code stayed as P0301, so no change. Check engine light still on. Sheesh.
I drove it a few miles and put some petrol in. Idle was rock steady 750. When I restarted the engine, all the dash lights were off; back to normal.
I took it out on the freeway an pushed it hard, 45 to 90, right up to redline without a miss.
Took it home, ran fine, idle rock steady 750.

It turns out I was clearing trouble codes with engine running. It is supposed to be ignition on only. Yup.
My friend @The Critic is dying of laughter.

As they say, it takes what it takes. All good. I still hate fake plugs and no more Amazon NGKs!

Google odyssey vcm piston damage.
Buy an after market vcm blocker or muzzler.
Change all of the spark plugs, install the muzzler, drive it hard to clear out those stuck rings.

Thank me later.
Join an Odyssey forum. Everyone there will say the exact same thing.

We just bought a 2015 odyssey last year.
I bought a muzzler before I took delivery of the van.

Brand LTHJT?

That is what I got from the Link.

I did that a year ago. The good news about this problem is the plugs were all worn evenly with zero oil fouling and zero oil usage over 5K to 6K OCIs. The problem was the fake plugs. They lasted 27K, which is actually good for fake NGKs. Real NGK Lasers go 120K no sweat.
