It's dumb that Facebook asked me for my ID though? Or, perhaps it is dumb that they thought I would give it to them!

It is my understanding that Zuckerberg got a boat-load of money to allow big brother to data mine from Facebook. I aiso saw a video where some officials (don't remember titles or positions) were astounded at the amount of personal information people were willing to put on Facebook. That is basily why im not providing any kind of real ID to them. And it would get hacked. Always does.

He's correct on this. Showing your license plate on the internet is no more a security hazard than showing it at a mall. I always laugh a little when people post pics of their car, and fuzz out the plate.

I suspect that you brought the fb thing upon yourself. Probably because your name, facebook handle and email address don't match. Perhaps double if you post yourself getting squeezed or whatever it's called.

I have my doubts that it was the church man, rather the info you've provided.

I frequently make MLB / Detroit Tigers newspaper article comments at places like the Detroit News and Detroit Free Press. A Facebook account is required to do so. So I signed-up.

The email provider / address I used when I signed up has a website blocking feature. After signing-in, I immediately blocked facebook from sending me emails. That was 3-4 years ago.

I am still a member of Facebook, but do not use it for any other purposes. If they sent me the same email as you, (being I use the Detroit Tigers logo as my photo there), they have not banned me.
I suggest you block facebook from reaching your email box in the future.

Yet here you are, posting on an internet forum to a bunch of strangers.

BITOG has a picture forum, where people share photos of their cars. There is also a Food and Drink forum, where people talk (and share pictures) about their food. I'm not sure about using the toilet, but there are a number of members here who'd like a Home Improvement forum. I'm sure toilets would get discussed there. There are constant threads about things happening in everyday life: What happened, where it happened, why it happened, how it happened, who it happened to, etc.

Tell me again how what we do here is really that much different than Facebook?
