How is Facebook able to verify your mugshot?

The country can't get a national Id through. We all should have a Facebook Id. Good enough. I am waiting for all payments made by NFC smartphone apps to become a cashless society. Apple pay and google wallet. End times are here.

Right. It's great to use your telephone to access facebook in order to stay in touch with family and close friends.

Yeah right. My family and friends have my number they can call or come over. Otherwise i don't want to talk to them. If they really want to write to me send a friggin postcard.
I'm not interested in pictures of their dog, their kids, their car, their breakfast or pizza. I could care less where they went, where they are going, why they are going, what happened at work, school, etc. Who the F cares when they went to the toilet.

We live in a pathetic society. I cant post my real feelings about it. lol

You're too generous. You seem to care a little about all that. Personally, I could NOT care less!

Why do they bother asking? What's next. This "little at a time" strategy works well. FB evidently considers its users to be like the frog in the frying pan. The problem is not what they think but the fact that they are correct.

Yet here you are, posting on an internet forum to a bunch of strangers.

BITOG has a picture forum, where people share photos of their cars. There is also a Food and Drink forum, where people talk (and share pictures) about their food. I'm not sure about using the toilet, but there are a number of members here who'd like a Home Improvement forum. I'm sure toilets would get discussed there. There are constant threads about things happening in everyday life: What happened, where it happened, why it happened, how it happened, who it happened to, etc.

Tell me again how what we do here is really that much different than Facebook?

There is no explanation how Facebook verifies a person's visage. It only says they collect the image.

Much discussion here about nothing. Facebook does require this info but you can block out your drivers license number, and I believe address.

So this is the same information I could gather about you on the Internet knowing your first and last name and hometown (Which most people publish on their FB profile). If your familiar with the people searching sites you can also get info about any felony convictions, property owned, etc.

What's the big deal?

I did a search on somebody I used to work for-was wondering what he was up to. Here is what I found out without having to pay any money-
He bought a condo in Southern California
He is selling a large piece of real estate property. I even know what he is asking for it.
He is now doing business consulting (I know the company and location).
His son served in the Armed forces.
He owns another business (I know what it is but don't want to get too personal here).

This was all without paying any money to a "people site".

Gentlemen-there is no privacy if your on the Internet.

That was pretty much my exact thought.

However it got that way.. Facebook wants my real, actual ID? That will not happen.

Bye, Facebook.

Well stated.

It's really not that difficult to understand at all. These types of threads and some individual replies only serve to garner more self attention and soothe a need to justify one's choices.

It's really not that hard at all for everyone to figure out. We all share part of the blame every time we respond to the attention seekers (hypocrisy noted).

Hey. I got no beef with you. I will also not accuse you of being an "attention-seeker" if you choose to share something with the forum. Ok? Thanks.

That did not happen, QP.

I suspect: 6. A frenemy reported my account after I sent an Imbox saying "Hi Wayne! Happy New Year! How you been?" - this happened once before.. immediately after I Inboxed this individual after church. I had to "verify my friend's pictures." Now the same amount of time goes by, and it happens again, they just want my ID this time. Which only a simpleton would give..

I don't go to that Church too much anymore. I think this was the doing of a Holier Than Thou.

He won't step outside to figure it out with me, though. He is a punk. And though I am not in top shape, I DO have soem decent arm strenth, and though I am not perhaps an MMA fighter - people still watch UFC, a commercialzed sub-set? - it would be too easy with him. He would run.

Bye, Facebook. I have no need for a site where someone can get something like that off.

I think he's gonna "shake it off" and then double-up on his BITOG posting to make up for it
