I was scanning my amex charges to see if the rad I bought for my ridgeline shipped.
I found 2 charges and 2 credits from
Facebook ad..
for $50.xx
and $20.xx
what the flop, I mean I never authorized them to charge for anything, granted they credited me the $$ also, but this is scary.
anyone else with facebook ad charges?

Call your credit card company and find out what's going on.

Your account may have been compromised.

Yup, call your credit card company asap and go through the fraudulent charge process. Whenever that happens to me, I always make sure my old account gets closed, I get a new account, and I change all passwords with the account. I had my entire account/personal information compromised several years ago. It sucks, but it's part of the new digital age.

+1. Unless FB sprouted a virus in your computer (much likely from a porn site or some other underworld site), that intercepted your CC number.

Something is compromised...

Probably a test. Sometimes bandits make small purchases to test the number, sometimes they do this so you might miss is in terms of a zero sum game. Then the $3000 hit comes.

+1 cancel the card and get issued a new one

Just because the charge was from "facebook" doesnt mean it actually came from anything to do with the real facebook.

and to me a charge and then charge back.. sounds like something a scammer would do to test the card/fraud system.

Agreed. You need to get your AMEX account number changed ASAP!

I called amex and they had no clue, I blocked all charges from facebook going forward. I did not ask for a new # but asked their fraud dept to investigate first.

lol

According to MapQuest, it's actually a legit address though.

Someone stole your card -- to place ads on FB. I would definitely cancel that card #, and have them issue you a new one. Blocking future FB ads will do nothing. They may use it next on Amazon, Paypal, etc.

I agree, but I found more example of the same charge other people incurred online.

I don't want a new CC # as I have auto payment setup....

Take 5 seconds to edit your auto pays with the new CC #. Don't fool around with this. It can impact your credit rating and everything. Change the card # ASAP! You are playing with fire if you don't. Step 1 when your CC info has been compromised is to notify the company. Step 2 is to immediately get a new CC#.
