Ive decided to rebuild the front end on my ‘01 F250 2wd that I bought a few weeks ago. 340k miles, steering is pretty sloppy and I want this truck to be reliable for years to come. Farthest Ive gone in front end work is ball joints. Id like to do it all myself and learn more. My question is, which brand is quality these days? I plan on doing upper and lower ball joints, tie rods, pitman arm, either a Redhead or Blue Top steering gear, and anything else I may need. I have access to a nice shop with a compressor and any tools I need besides my own. I know itll definitely need an alignment after.

A few thoughts. I would diagnose the sloppy steering, although replacing the items you posted at 340k might be a good idea. The steering box is often related to sloppy steering on your generation Super Duty. Finally, note a 2001 RWD F250 has bearings that need manual packing in the front.
