It will be interesting to see how much of the middle sector they can do flat out with the new cars compared to last year.

Speeds should be ridiculous during qualifying.

I think GRO and MAG could be the most talented driver lineup outside of the top teams and with a car that seems quick I'm really hoping they can put together some double points finishes this season.

At least this season is a bit of a new game. It appears that what the driver does might just become more important, this year. If that happens then the racing will be more entertaining. The new tires might have something to do with Hamilton not winning.

My heart goes out to Alonso. That car is no place for a good driver to waste one more year of his career. I'd say that if he can't make it go that no one can do it. Alonso is a great development driver as well as a race winner if he just had a car at lest close to his rivals in performance.

They're actually a bit concerned about all the aero stuff slowing the cars down at top end. They're apparently going to start assessing the length of the DRS zones to see if they need to be extended.

Bottom_Feeder: Only Vettel!

If this sentence were TRUE, the Ferrari would have given Alonso a title.
As it was, Ferrari went backwards with Alonso.

Double points finishes would be great, at least one for each driver this season.. instead of relying on GRO the whole season.
GRO looked promising at qualifying in Australia.

Alonso did what he could. He did not design that car and struggled to make it better. Changes made at his suggestion improved the car. There was a lot of friction between him and management. He got out of his contract at the first opportunity, it was his choice. Ferrari learned a lot from him and hired several people Alonso had recommended after he left. Those people are still there, today.

So Q2 is delayed for that shunt on the front stretch. The V8 Supercar race is currently suspended for 1/3 of the field crashing on the 2nd lap of their race.

Streaming Race 4 of the V8 Supercars right now, and will switch over to F1 when that is on. The first Super GT race should be starting in a bit over an hour. Hoping for good racing in all the races.

DJR Team Penske cars were 1-2 in the V8 Supercar race. Hope there is some rain on the F1 GP. Looks like beautiful weather in Okayama in the Super GT race.

Honda actually has worse reliability in Super GT than F1. On the parade and formation laps before the grid 3 of the Honda NSX cars broke down. They had to red flag the race on the formation lap. This is the weekend for weird race situations after the V8 Supercar cluster yesterday and the accident at the hairpin on the last lap of the IMSA race in Long Beach.

Unrelated it looks like the Super GT series has a grid girl wearing something skimpy like Supercross walk across the track with the 30 second board. And they started the race under a safety car, weird rules for sure.
