Spectrasyn PAOs are the high viscosity PAOs (40 cst and 100cst @ 100C temp) that largely form the basis of the Supersyn lineup (as in their use largely defines the lineup). They are the topping, not the flour in terms of percentage of entire basestocks. Their use in low concentrations have benefits.

I believe JAG is correct.

Have we ever had a definitive answer on whether you can make a 100% PAO based oil meet the ILSAC GF-4 fuel economy spec? I believe it's the Seq VIB Test?
 
buster, I'd bet money that it CAN be done. I just can't provide examples of it having been done due to lack of info. Can anyone else?
