Anyone have any experience with this? Says it exceeds Ford specs. $1.29 a quart. TIA Superflo 5W-20 API Service Classification SL/EC Gravity, API 33.5 Specific Gravity 0.858 Pour Point, °C (°F) -36 (-33) Flash Point, °C (°F) ASTM D92 200 (392) Viscosity cSt at 40°C 47 cSt at 100°C 8.3 CCS, cP 4470 at -30°C 13,200 at -35°C Viscosity Index 153 Color, ASTm D 1500 L7.5 Energy Conserving Yes

That is the lightest VI at 100C I have seen I believe out of the 5/20's Have you noticed some of the 5/20 conventionals have about the same cold weather performance as the better 5/30's? better as in better cold weather numbers. Just for example,,Phillips Trop Artic 5/30 4650 cP @ -30C It looks like Redline has a killer 5/20,,Patman if you see this would you post the specs please? Just because it "exceeds specifications" that really doesn't say a thing about how well it protects. I think it would be pretty conservative to do an oil analysis.

I couldn't find any spec. data on Redline's website. Patman probably knows how to get it. Mobil's 0w-20 should be out in a few weeks. Anyone anxious to see those specs.? [Smile]

He has it because I gave it to him [Smile] I had a problem finding it in my folder but here it is SL/SJ/SH 5/20 VI @ 40C 55 VI @ 100C 9.1 VI Index 145 CCS Viscosity 5000 @ -30C HTHS 3.3 Pour Point -49F Flash Point 484 F NOACK 8 now this is the 1hr @ 482 F % I "think" they will sell a gazillion, jillion quarts of this oil [Smile]

That Redline 5w20 looks awesome, but unless they managed to get API certification on it, the stuff won't sell. The only people running 5w20 right now are all people with brand new cars.

Those are some good numbers. In terms of specs. it beats Amsoil... [Smile] Thanks Dragboat. You've been coming up big with these #'s. First you posted the HT #'s of M1 and now Redline. [Smile] I mentioned this oil to my friend with the Mustang. He is running Amsoil 5w-20. Is this Redline a group IV? [ February 09, 2003, 07:53 PM: Message edited by: buster ]
