Those are very nice wear numbers and typical for this engine. Any explanation for the fuel in the 2nd interval shown?

Interesting, that don't even list a HTHS Viscosity for their 5w20 on the website. And the VI of the 10w40 is less than the 5w20.

Very nice for a $1.29 oil at Autozone. I'm using the same oil on my ZX3 now, probably run to 5.5k miles OCI too with a possibility of going 7.5k OCI with additives.

FWIW - observations compare to Mobil 1 0w20:
~ engine seems quieter
~ mileage seems to be bit less ...but maybe due to A/C being used more
~ motor does not seem to spool easily but again that could be the A/C drag.

It has to be 2.6 minimum .

Did you see the SA of the 5w-20 is higher than the others ? Thats the extra moly in it .

The Mobil 1 SuperSyn oils have a SA of 1.2 , with the low phos it would be even lower w/o the moly .

Nice report. As said by Motorbike your engine seems to like this oil. Especially considering the majority of your driving was local. And it's cheap too

. Just curious what grade oil is called for in your engine? Is it 5W-20? With certain engines 5W-20 seems to work very well. Of course 5W-20 is not for every engine and no we haven't seen an engine run for 200,000 miles on only 5W-20 with 10,000 mile OCI's

Holy Cow

, can you saw moly, calcium or zinc??? That's sah-weet!!!! Sleeper oil right here. Look at all those additives and look at the non-existant lead level and near zero for iron and aluminum. How much is this stuff? 1.49 or something like that a quart. Wow. And for all you nay-sayers when it comes to moly......just re-read the wear metals.....

Excellent report. Anyone should be happy with such low wear and sturdy oil. I agree with the sleeper comment!

I was initially very skeptical of Honda's US only 5W-20 recommendation, but the data consistently backs it up.

Dallas isn't exactly a cold climate

Look at the driving described. Typically local around town stuff, but the most recent interval included an 800+ mile road trip.

I just picked up five quarts of this today for the next OCI on my Accord. That will not be for some time though as I recently used up the last of my Motorcraft 5W-20 doing a change on the Accord. I like to always have the materials for the next interval in-hand

I paid $1.29 / quart for Superflo 5W-20 at the local Autozone. Walmart wants $1.42 for the Motorcraft version. Considering the results here I don't see any reason to prefer Motorcraft 5W-20 over the Exxon Superflo.

New to the site. I am a neophyte in regards to oil and lubrication. I have learned a lot from the site.
Exxon Superflo 5-20 looks a lot like Honda 5-20 in regards to analysis. High moly ~230, some boron, calcium ~2200, phosphorous ~800 and similar viscosity and flaspoint.
Opinions? Exxon Superflo sells for $0.70/quart on sale with rebate at parts store.
Considering using it in a 2003 Honda 2.4L

ExxonMobil is the supplier of record for Honda's US 5W-20 oils, so this is not surprising.

Interesting comparison with an '03 Civic on a Pennzoil 5W-20 diet and 5,000 OCIs. Can't see the logic of paying the extra for the Pennzoil after reading your report.

Neither can I and as you see group I oils are not down and out yet . They still deliver even some think the 5w-20's just have to be made with group II or above to make the cut .
