engine support

The engine hoist support is not a absolute must have, but I would think it would greatly help in removing an engine and putting it on an engine stand as it will keep the engine level and keep fluid spills to a minumum.

That tool is almost a must item for holding the engine in place when dropping the subframe down/out to do steering racks, swaybars, transmissions on FWD cars etc.

I don't think that's a hoist support (AKA balancer)-that's a gadget that transfers the engine weight to the fenders/inner fenders so that the transmission/transaxle can be pulled & support the weight of the engine.

Not so much use in engine swaps, but for holding the engine in place when the subframe(and sometimes the transaxle) are out of the car. Agree, a must have if you do that sort of work.

Primarily used to support engine while trans removed, but I can see how it would be brilliant at supporting a swapped engine for alignment, measurement and fabrication !
