LarryL, this natural seepage causes the global warming, too. It's responsible for the AIDS epidemic as well.

The only real solution is to drill more.

Shannow, I've made similar statements here in the past. Let's hurry up and use up all the cheap oil in the world. Then everyone in the world will be in the same boat and the pain of conservation will be gone. Why should we put our kids through the same pain of conservation as we've had to grow up with? We'll also see the geopolitical angst over oil disappear, and we can ignore the oil producing nations who seem to have us by the nuts.
