I believe it is 100% synthetic...I believe if you study their website you will see a diference in the way they describe their syn blends and their 100% synthetics. You can email Ed at Turbofrog Performance or Laurent Siret at Elfmoto and they could tell you for sure.
deuginthesky, what do you base your opinion on? Personally, I can't tell from the limited amount of info provided.
Pourpoint is not that low for an Euro oil (generally it's -40 to -45°C for a 5W40), as well as flashpoint (their LXD is 226°C) which generally is from 225°C to 240°C.
Oftenly, "real" synthetics euro oils are described as "100% synthetic" compared to only "synthetic" oils which usually are group 3 oils.
That's why I wonder if the Excellium XXL is a real synthetic, and also because I know Euro group 3 oils (as people on this board) that are SL/CF and A3/B3/B4 rated as well as compliant with EOM requirements.
