This just popped up this morning. For those who think an electric truck should look like a truck! Not DIY at this point but maybe someone will offer conversions to electric.

Interesting. But a dead end? I mean, it would need to be in a 3/4T or bigger I'd think, else one is goin to eat up a lot of payload with the required batteries.

Meritor is offering something similar for big rigs now. ZF has a reverse-portal electric axle for buses out as well. It’s optional equipment I think on the electrified version of the New Flyer Xcelsior 60’ - making it a 6x4 bus.

This is probably meant for full electric vehicles, so removing the engine gives some payload capacity (and space) for batteries.
Unless is a FWD-only vehicle with a solid rear axle? I don't know of any.

Between 150kW and 250kW... that's 200 to 335 HP. Not a good deal for a truck, but indeed good for a bus or light van.
