Not usually a parts snob but this Edelmann seems nicer than what I pulled off my dually. Nice braided line, about a third heavier, and had a 1/2" nut at the gearbox vs. 5/8". That little bit was nice as you had to flip the combo wrench each 1/4 turn on both. My line wrenches wouldn't fit between the two lines at the box. With the 1/2" line, it hand-threaded all but three-quarters of a turn.
Not sure how old the old one was but I know it only had about 15k miles on it. It was leaking at the rubber/metal line joint. I assume the Edelmann was made in Mexico, stamped MX on the packaging. Very nice quality. I usually buy Sunsong as I've had good luck with them but may switch after this.
