Off the in-laws 2013 Ford Escape 3.0L. I think the filter held up just fine and had no issues with the mileage in a relatively short time frame.

Not much to complain about there for 8500 miles of service... is that rust in the can or dirty oil? Was it one of these someone found rust in a virgin filter?

Thanks for the pictures.

Is this the entry level Ecogard filter? I ask because I had a shop put one on for the current oil change along with 5w30 VWB. Usually they put a Valvoline filter on but not this time.

Sorry I mis typed, the vehicle year is 2012 not 2013. I also estimate the mileage when I posted but now looking at my logs, it's actually 8775 miles on it.

These are the budget $1.47 filters at RA.

I'm pretty sure it's residual oil and wipes right off inside the can.

Very happy with these so far. This is only the second ecogard I have used to date. Seems like a very decent budget filter.

I bought a case of these for use on 2 Nissans. The tiny 6607 size filters.

No problems whatsoever after 9 total changes between 2 vehicles. 5k intervals/whatever oil is on clearance.

I think bbhero had the batch of rusters. During the same time mine were perfect and came from Amazon at the time
Looks like somebody realized if the pleats are many and tight they don't tear

Thanks for the cp- looks great.
