ECOGARD X-10479 YORN! CUT OPEN WITH PICS

This filter was off a work vehicle; 2020 KIA Forte for almost 6,4xx milers. Have not saw a ECOGARD oil filter that tore to be honest. Reinstalled a ProTec “by WIX” made in China and Safety Kleen 5w30 synthetic. 41,xxx on vehicle.

IMO it looks like it tore because of the pleat spacing in that area next to the seam crimp. Honestly 99% of customers who use these filters would have never known, but the folks here at BITOG will know for sure.
