Echo CS-4010 Chainsaw

AAFES/Home Depot This saw is my next one if my 1999 Stihl 021 ever dies. It's $404 with no tax if I order it through AAFES. They have an arrangement with Home Depot for Veterans. I've heard Echo is the best for your money even though they may or may not have coil issues. It's really a nonissue because they'll replace it for free anyways.

I have the cs-590 its an absolute beast for a homeowner, Starts easy, idles like a dream.. never stalls.

It is NOT light though. Its best used with a smaller or battery saw for trimming

They say 15 or 16lb for the power head but a bar, chain, oil, and gas push that over 20.

I have been trimming with a 12" dewalt 20v chainsaw. then pull out the echo for the 4" and up.
My back and shoulder definitely feel the difference at the end.

I certainly have room for a smaller gas chainsaw in the stable.

or one of those 1 hand pruning battery chainsaws.

The Echo 2511t is a fantastic small saw. Extremely light, cuts great. Amazing limbing saw.
Yes its on the wishlist but $600 is abit steep for the amount of use I'd use it for.
it does weigh about 1/3 the cs-590 (powerhead weight)

I'd probably go with the 2511pn though as I'm not a pro
The top handle looks abit more dangerous. I have a
healthy respect for the tool.. and how dangerous it can be.

When I say trimming or limbing, I'm referring 99% of the time to ... processing wood on the ground..
not climbing a tree.

I already have the dewalt 20v and while there is no comparison I have 3 batteries and its fine for now.
