Early Report On Fuel Power

So far I'm not having any success with FP in my '02 V6 Accord. I can't tell for sure yet but I *might* be getting a few percentage (less than 5) of mileage improvement.

My other vehicle got a healthy boost ('92 Buick Roadmaster) of abou 15%.

The Honda doesn't have a knock sensor and calls for 87 octane - consequently it won't advance the timing or anything like that. :-(

Anybody have any ideas?

Not all vehicles will see an improvement in gas mileage using FP. I feel FP cleans your fuel system and helps restore fuel efficiency to factory specs. Asking it to do more is not possible.

I would suspect FP cleaned out the 92' Buick where the 02' Honda, being newer, was not as "dirty". I have not noticed any mpg improvement in either of my applications. A 00’ Saab 9-5 and 04’ Honda CR-V.

I have checked my trip computer many many times, it has always been very accurate, within .5 MPG over a 1,000 mile run. On one trip I checked (Chicago to San Antionio and back) of over 2000 miles the computer was off by .1 MPG (reported low).

I will be going on a 3,000 mile trip to Cananda in the spring (please do not tell the fish) and will check it again on that trip.

Ugly, I have had simmilar results with the trip computer onmy 96 Corvette. I suspect it's more accurate than my ability to fill the tank to the same level each time with different pumps.

Another advantage to the trip computer method is that you can easily isolate the part of the trip you want. For instance start the trip computer when you get on the Interstate and take reading when you get near you destination as you get off the interstate.

Jeep ZJ..weird. I have '96 ZJ and it always reads 14.5 or 15.1 in the city..no matter what I put into the gas. I have started pinging and had a backfire, it turned out to be the cps going out. I also run Mobil 0-40...and have 167,000 miles with no major re-build. Lots of new mods, FIPK, larger throttle body, new Magnecor wires, new coils and rotor, new exhaust. Picked up horsepower but lost mileage.

Just got back from a 548 mile run to MI and back. The Trip Computer indicated 22.2 MPG. The actual fuel consumed was 24.45 gallons, equating to 22.41 MPG. However, it was just two tanks of fuel so I could be off a little on the actual fill amount.

Trip computer is pretty close.
