Ea15k09 ran 19k miles AMSOIL SS 10w-30

This Ea15k09 came off an 03 Camry with 225k miles on vehicle, 19k miles on filter and oil. AMSOIL SS 10w-30.

is that the type of bypass valve assembly used for fram & champ labs filters? now I'm wondering who makes filters for amsoil...

EAK filters are made by Champion Labs. (15,000 mile filter) EAO filters are made by Donaldson. (25,000 mile filter) This is what an EAO filter looks like inside. Notice the difference from the EAK above.

Looks like the filter held up fine; did you get a UOA to see how the oil did? Also what were the driving habits during the OCI?

I noticed that as well. Was Camry engines of that era known for creating sludge? Although the 4th pic down looks great and very clean, assuming it wasn't cleaned.

If you're referring to the first photo, looks more like an excessive glue job to me.

Yep, it's extra glue .

I didn't due a UOA because he added 2 qts of different brand oil. The filter did well considering it was only a 15k filter.
