This was true over 10 years ago, yet he acts like this statement should be a big revelation for everyone. And nothing has been done... nothing meaningful anyway. Our laws mean nothing if they are not enforced.

In the case of this driver, from what I have read, you just can't fix stupid. In CA, we have strict cell phone driving laws; it is mostly soccer Moms in their Suburbans fulla kids that are on their phones. Sheesh.

This is a prime example of the old adage... "You can't legislate against STUPIDITY!" The judge should throw this family's lawsuit out on day one of the trial, and the attorney should be reprimanded for bringing it.
