Drain Plug Washer Frozen to Oil Pan

I like it when my washer sticks on my Tacoma. I will just leave it in place. Washer should be good for multiple oil changes, although I do have replacements.

All this makes me wonder about the utility of using copper gaskets and just keeping it for the duration. I used to have those on my Cessna as well as under he spark plugs and thermocouples for the CHT Gauge. All I ever did with those was cherry them with a torch once in a while and a twist with some steel wool and they were good as new. I don't recall them ever leaking a drop and that thing shook like an old washing machine. Sorta makes me wonder🤔

I just left the same aluminum washer on our previous Honda Pilot and the new over and over since it doesn't leak. If I start to see a drip, I'll replace but until then, I don't see the point. Now on the Mitsubishi, the washer design is different and actually crushes so that you need a new one.
