So? Do the other conventionals have this super secret special coating that Deposit Shield has? That's what is referred to as Calcium.. correct?

that could be true Eddie. Thanks for the reply. We are still a little short on ---- replies howerver, one just doesn't cut it. Cutehumor, Merkava, where are you guys?

Uh,, SFCP...it sounds like a LOT of marketing hype to me. We all know that Valvoline is a great oil, but shield deposit ability...

Uhhh...no Duuuu.... The point of this post was to discuss how other other conventional oils such as Valvoline coat parts the same way as Havoline Deposit Shield. I've recently heard radio commercials about Havoline with all it's marketing of coating metal.

That's just what the he!! I'd like to find out..but no one has definitively answered this question in previous posts.

why worry about it? I remember an old post when you were "mossad" that you didn't even change your own oil. You had your "mechanic" change it.

Never. I've never had my mechanic change my oil for me. You find that post and I'll pay for your next oil change.

SFCP the only thing in deposit shield is boron and calcium, both coat the surfaces of the engine preventing carbon deposits and corrosion. Both are detergents aswel.
Valvoline has heavy calcium and does have a protective coating, just like any other oil.
It's all marketing
