This afternoon, I was out in the yard & felt what seemed like a minor earthquake. Based on a hunch, I went into the house & booted up the computer, and, sure enough, I was right!

The product data sheet specs have been finally updated at that goofy Motorcraft site. You know, the one that has listed Motorcraft oils as being the outdated API SH/SJ spec, for the past 6-7 years.

It even has images of the current Motorcraft bottles with synthetic blend on the label.!

But, as far as the Motorcraft data sheet spec’s matching TropArtic, I’ll let you be the judge. My opinion is that the 5W-20’s are similar, the 5W-30 & 10W-30’s are miles apart.

Tough call. The TropArtic is from 03/05. It's about time the MC website was updated. The 5w-20 specs are good.

You know, I THOUGHT the temperature in Hades just dropped a few degrees...!

Well, it looks like they didn't do a whole LOT of updating. There is still no PDS for the full-synthetic oils, and it still says that Mercon V can only be used in transmissions that originally spec'd it.
