Does anyone make a "small" bypass setup?

I've been interested in a bypass setup for some time, however my engine compartment is very full of engine, and does leave much room for anything extra. I've seen the Amsoil bypass systems in person, and they look great for a truck or something but there is no way I could find a place to install that thing in my car. In the meantime, this last fill I installed a Microgreen filter to try out.

What car do you want to install it in? I managed to get a single filter bypass into my Scion xA - as have others.

How about fitting it up front on the right - next to that chrome canister (oil catch can??).

You might even be able to fit it horizontally or even on a slight angle.

Frantz filter, oilguard EPS10, jackmaster, motorguard,... all use a toilet paper sized media. Remotely mounted combination filters like Trasko and Stilko can also be used.

Plenty of room there as most bypass filters can be mounted at any angle.

normally i dont recommend fram filters. but this one is different. it a bypass, should filter down to 2-3 microns. the case with filter is c3, the filter element is c3p, my advance parts house carry the c3p all the time. the case is 7" tall and 4 1/2 in dia. it may be hard to find. if i was hooking it up i would use 3/16 steel brake line tubing. i have had nylon, cooper so on fail

I've seen plenty of the Fram canisters on ebay. Always worried about replacement elements. But, from the sounds of it, probably abundantly available in different filter brands.

They have different size Fram canisters. Just verify the orifice to make sure it isn't too big or too small for your application.

Also, many of the older canisters take normal pleated media and aren't true depth filtration even though they were plumbed as a bypass. Feel free to cut open any of your used c3's elements to see if its just a regular cartridge being used as a bypass.

i think there are 2 diff elements for the c3 filter one is reg pleated paper, one is depth meda, i think its part no c-3p. i took my canister apart so i know the part no is right. the difference is the depth meda paper goes horizontal. the reg one the paper goes up and down. i wish i could find time to mount my canister.
