I used to see them every day. The worst most corrupt state run oil company in the world. 99% of these gas station sell subpar fuel and you never get a liter. When mexico allowed foreign oil companies to do business in Mexico Pemex had to be for more government subsidies because eveyone avoided them. I avoid pemex and citgo (Venezuela) bunch of crooks!
Yes I avoid them too. I got totally ripped off at a Pemex in Cozumel (the one on the transverse road). Even the car rental company there warned me about that specific station, but I forgot. I would think though that in the USA they would have to mostly fly straight. Of course the rotten politics are still behind the company overall so I will stay away. Give me XOM, Chevron, Shell etc. any day.
