Do I need to change oil, if I don't drive too much?

Do I need change my vacation car oil? The car i only use in sumer few thousend miles.

As long as you warm it up nearly every time you drive it (by driving, not idling) you can go by mileage, or every other year.

I agree with @Rand we need some more info. With a diesel you need to watch for fuel dilution especially on EGR equipped vehicles.

Yes, you need to change it, how often is the question.

If you get the oil to operating temp on a regular basis (about 30 minutes of driving should do it), an every other year oil change or 5,000 mile interval is probably fine.

You mean dpf. Egr doesn't put fuel in the oil
