Anyone else taking advantage of the Black Friday sale at Discount Tire Direct?

The sale is in effect today (Thursday) through Monday.

$50 off any set of 4 wheels or tires.
$100 off if you buy wheels and tires.

And, DTD has free shipping on all tires and wheels. I bought a set of tires from them before and it was a good experience.

I'm going to purchase a set of Hankook H727 tires for my Sonata. They will be $400 - $50 sale and a $50 rebate. My local shops want at least $130 tire for them.

Don't forget the $30 VISA card for buying 4 tires and if you buy BFG tires you can get an extra $50 VISA card.

Its possible to save $130 if you buy 4 BFG tires.

BTW,
the $30 and $50 VISA cards you can submit the info online and 3 weeks later you will get the VISA debit card in the mail. It doesn't get any easier than that.

Plus if your a member of MrRebates you can get an additional 4% on top of that. I just ordered 6 Cooper Discover AT3 $163.00 - 75.00 BF sale plus 30 car care credit discount.

978-75= $903 out the door. Plus $30 MIR + 36.12 MrRebates is $838.68 total or about $139.48 each. Locally I was quoted 183 each installed + tax. Great deal in my opinion.

I should have offered more details. More than one brand are offering rebates. Discount Tire is also offering a VISA card rebate, but you have to use their credit card service.

So, here are the Hankooks I'm ordering.

Link to Hankook H727

$400 Base price of the tires (4 x $100)
-$50 sale price discount
-$50 American Express card rebate from Hankook

There's also a $30 VISA card rebate that is available, but you have to use Discount Tire's credit service. I'm not taking advantage of that offer, because I don't want another credit card.

Since you asked, I did, sort of. Yesterday I used the DTD price on a set of Yoko Avid Touring S($4 per tire less than the DT online price), at the DT store. Also, as mentioned above, I used my DT Care One CC for an extra $30 Visa Card rebate. And, 6 months no interest with a monthly payment.

And yes, DT did let me use the BFS $50 off yesterday. DT's attitude in my experience, get it done.

Same here,I got a set of Blizzaks installed yesterday. They gave me the $50 off without batting an eye. In my experience,DT will bend over backwards to make a sale or keep their customers happy.

The price of the tires that I'm looking at went UP in price in the last few days.

So, they're not really giving a $50 discount on a set of 4, are they?

This is really annoying.

The ones I ordered stayed the same (actually all the ones in my size seems to have stayed the same). I only need two so I got the $25 off.

Have a local store match their on line pricing , and have them obtain the tires..
Yes, match their OWN store's pricing!
Why screw with shipping?
My brother just did this.
