I can't help but agree.
Apparently I'm old school. I just don't like stuff that does not need to be there. I like my cars fairly simple both when it comes to technology, but also the styling (both in and out) I like straight lines and functional layouts. One of the reasons I think most new Mazda and Hyundai cars are just so *****. I assume they just have no clue what a straight line is.

I'd hate to know what some of their body panels and parts cost to replace.

At least Kuwait has a Trailblazer in its lineup for 2013! It's gone in the US, along with the Atlas I6. I really think GM should have tried to put that engine in the 1500 pickups, but oh well.

It's too bad the I6 won't carry on in the "world market" (except the US) Trailblazer either.

One more traditional SUV gone. Though the extended ones were kind of ugly, I liked the GMT360 platform overall.

Correct me if I am wrong, but isn't the Middle East market much like the "old" US market? Gas is inexpensive and they like their V8s?

If so, it is just a consequence of GM going more "global" in terms of the lineup and responding to demands of American and European customers. US customers can't afford to feed a V8 anymore, so Chevy is offering 40 mpg Chevy Sparks. Yeah the Chevy purists hate it, but between Europe and America, it probably is a more important car than a new Caprice. After spending a week in Germany, France, Switzerland and Austria, I'm surprised at how many bowties I've seen. Not nearly as many as VW, MB, BMW, Audi, or Opel, but more than I expected.

^^^Some of those "big, hungry, monster, 'who needs all of that power?'" V-8s actually get VERY good mileage (on the highway at least).
Even BETTER THAN some of your beloved Nippon and Euro V-6es, and even A LOT of the 'high performance' turbo I4s (when they are driven like they are supposed to be/were BUILT to be).
