difference between wix and napa gold

I was already decided to buy pure one air filter, but i guess my local pep boys does not carry them (only the regular ones). I dont like to special order, just would like to simply pick up my car items at my local stores. I was debating whether to get a wix or a napa gold. But, i cant seem find any comparisons or study on wix vs napa gold. Any opinions or suggestions? Id really appreciate it.

As far as I know, they are the exact same thing. I'd go with whichever you can find cheaper. I got a Napa Gold in one of my parents cars right now, and it seems to be of high quality.

not a thing is different in the two filters..just drop the first number off the wix number and then bingo you have a napa filter..

today i did a comparison with the same part number for my vehicle's application. To my surprise findings, the construction is very similar. The only EXCEPTION is the number of pleats they both have. Wix have just a FEW more pleats than the napa gold air filter. Im decided on the Wix for right now. Did anyone else find out that their wix/napa gold comparison turned out to have more number of pleats vs the other? I assume that wix have more pleats over napa gold on their air filters.

Also, the wix was cheaper than the napa gold =)

You could also try looking for the Pure One at other auto parts stores, big box stores, and hardware stores.
