Did RGT change from GF5 to GF6?

This was the verify, and from other places, and since discovering it's a very newly ratified standard, it seems fairly obvious it's old stock, on top of the fact that SOPUS seems to have "essentially" already got their products conforming to the standard, just weren't allowed to use the logo until now.

But you may never know. It has been discussed here that oil companies do not switch over to a new standard like a light switch. They have to be ahead of the game as far as production goes. That’s why they are heavily involved in how the new standards will improve and test.

The regulations stipulate that jugs cannot be labeled with the new standard until a certain date. That doesn’t stop Shell or any other company from putting new stock into older jugs. They are covered as the oil still meets or exceeds the standard on the jug.

It’s very possible that RGT GF5 jug had GF6 oil in it but finding that out would be expensive. This kind of discussion comes up every time this happens.
