Maybe because we are being slowly indoctrinated over the years as to how it was really OUR fault. We are the bad guys and deserved it.
I'm not kidding.
Well, we deserved it, didn't we? I mean, really. Staying neutral is so "Swiss".
I remember reading somewhere that Churchill knew of the coming attack but didn't tell Roosevelt because he (Churchill) wanted us to get involed to help Brittain.
To see how evil the Japanese were, read Ch. 5 about the Rape of China. Absolutely evil and gut wrenching. But you don't hear much about it, it's always about the Germans. These guys make the Germans look like wimps when it comes to crimes against humanity.

No. I don't think so. Pearl Harbor was a military attack. Plain and simple. No invasion ..no occupation. No civilian targets. It was merely to cripple our ability to back up our and Britain's economic/material embargo of Japan for their invasion and occupation of China. We controlled all the resources. They had none ..and we had the moxie to enforce their withholding. Once our fleet was destroyed, there was no stopping them.
I do think that a few lessons from WWI were learned and used with victory in WWII. Both aggressor nations were pacified instead of punished after the fighting stopped ..at least on the allies side of things. Can't say the same for those who fell under the Russian post war rule.

I feel your pain. I'm missing the Christmas spirit, too.
Could it be because the stores started the spirit FOR US before Halloween?
I like my holidays in order....Halloween, Thanksgiving, THEN Christmas, not Christmas watered down since before Halloween and run amuck through the two.
