I have done my front pads. I lubed my sliding pins using the following from RockAuto:

Did I use the correct thing? Videos on youtube generally used 3M Silicone, but that is very expensive in Canada. Is the Silicone Ceramic lube from the link a good choice for using on the caliper sliding pins?

Thanks

Thank you all. Because it said "ceramic", I started to second doubt myself, even though it says silicone lube.

That's good stuff, but it also has a really long shelf life, so I'd buy a larger quantity for lower cost/use, or if your braking doesn't cause extreme heat, just go with a silicone paste and skip the ceramic, then it has other automotive uses too.

^ Yes, the permatex silicone ceramic. I'd use it or any all silicone paste over sil-glyde which breaks down at lower temp and oxidizes. I'd only pick a caster oil based lube if you have a rubber compatibility concern, then at its price point, it's at least better than petroleum based.
