Did GM switch coolant suppliers?

I'm noticing that the newer GM vehicles are being shipped with red colored DexCool, which is the same color as the Prestone DexCool product. Previously, the factory fill DexCool was orange, which was Texaco.

So, perhaps GM switched to Prestone DexCool as factory fill? I wonder if this will do anything for their problems, as supposedly, most of the DexCool problems have been with the Texaco branded one.

Since "DEX-COOL®" is a performance spec, not a specific recipe, the supplier is peripheral. Of course the reported problems would be more numerous with Havoline supplied DEX-COOL® - Havoline had a six year headstart on Prestone.
