I've a customer using Dexron VI at 70C in an industrial hydraulic system. For contractual reasons, they must use this fluid at this temperature. I'm not at liberty to discuss the application.
The machine OEM specified FPM fluoroelastomer for all seals. In the USA, we frequently call this Viton, a duPont trademark. I see some of these seals failing by what appears to be either erosion or softening/weakening.
Does anyone know what the optimum seal material is for this fluid at this temperature?
Thanks!
