Dex VI replace Dex III & Dex III replace Dex II

Dex VI is an improvement over Dex III. You could use that. Mobil 1 ATF would be fine too. The Motul Syn ATF. Hmmm it is a fine ATF . How much do you love your Honda?
A good syn Dex III will work as will a good licensed Dex VI.

Your application will do really well with a good DEX III ..... as I am seeing things the DEX VI version of anything is too close in price to Amsoil or Mobil, even Redline D4.
I've not seen DEX VI for less than six dollars, maybe I am not looking too hard, but if this is the case, might as well spend a little more on a high end fluid true-er to your application.

I guess I would do two drain/fills... might as well get plenty of the better fluid in there sooner than later.
Between fills, I prefer to run at least 20-30 miles through all the gear ranges. Some will just idle the car or spin around the block.
You can use the original crush washer between fills, but be sure to use a new one for your final fill.

You can probably find Valvoline Full Synthetic Dex VI for under $6 at NAPA. If money were no object, I would go with a full flush of AMSOIL ATF or Schaeffers #204SAT and be done with it.

right now my transmission has 2.5 qts of Motul syn ATF, some Mobil 1 syn ATF(from last time d/f), some Castrol Dex III, some Pennzoil Dex III ATF

I just did some maths
found that if I'm gonna do multiple drain/fills (assuming 60% of the old fluid will remain in the transmission)
& if I want the old fluid level less than 5%
i have to do 6 times, which means i need 15 qts atf
if i want it down to 1% or less
i have to do 10 times. 25qts!

I guess if the ATF still meets the Allison C4 or Cat TO-4 spec they must be pretty much using the same formula.

I used the new Pennzoil dexIII equivalant... works as good if not better than the licensed 15k mile Castrol DexIII. $2 a qt. is perfect for 15k 12qt. pump-outs IMO.

I know that. My question is if Sopus changed the quality of the fluid. Since the licensed fluid was pretty cheap before, I don't think it would pay for Sopus (or other major) to change stuff to save a few cents.

Drew2000 mentioned Allison C4 and I do feel this is a very good point in that as The Critic Mentions and others have asked, has the stuff 'changed'.
In this regard, a fluid that is C4 rated or better yet, TES-295 rated fluid would be the best way to go.
