An update on my Silver 4-53T swap. Just coming up 6000 miles after I rebuilt and upgraded the engine to a Silver 4-53T. Engine is running great and no issues to speak of , very happy with the results. I'm getting 13 mpg city and 18 Hwy and 13.5 towing @15000-16000 GCVW lbs. I originally estimated the power at 230-250, but that was too optimistic and it's closer to 210HP and 450 FTLBS of torque. Oil consumption is around 1500 miles per ltr average. Burns more oil towing at around 1000 miles per ltr and empty around 2000 miles. I've been tuning the 5R110 with HPTuners and have it just about perfect.
Overall very happy with the results.

It's a sound that hasn't been heard for decades.lol The odd old timer (80 year old) will twist their head around in disbelief, but for the most part no one notices.Similar threads
