No, not that eclipse 😂

This is a newer 19 Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross CUV.

Customer states: “it’s bad”

This one should be relatively easy honestly, it’s going to get a full interior/exterior with clay bar.

My thoughts, the paint will bounce back beautifully - it definitely needs a clay bar. Interior will also clean up like new, it’s not filthy by any stretch of the imagination but it is dirty.

In regards to the crossover itself, this also seems like a ho-hum very vanilla crossover. I don’t know the driving dynamics I’m just going off of the looks, features and design ect. The red stitching in the seats though is a nice touch, but otherwise interior seems very basic I don’t want to use the word cheap so I will say functional. It also has a very small infotainment system screen maybe 5 inches and huge bezels - it dates the car badly.. oh and a lot of hard plastics everywhere.

Not something I would personally purchase but my job is to detail it and it’s gonna get the very best 😃

I will update with the finished product later today.

I looked into the specs of those awhile back, but reads to be a bit underpowered. Not a bad design at all IMBHO. I do dig the carbon fiber(ish) trim in those areas as I prefer that look to pretty much anything else made.

given the engine a dusting, figured I’ll check the oil just because this is what I found.

It has less than 50K on it, so either Jiffy Lube is not filling the oil fully or it’s burning some oil in between oil change interval. 😔

You topped off the oil right? That is the moral obligation of every BITOG when faced with this situation. Plus, mention it to the customer, they'll think you went the extra mile and refer you to everyone. Great work!

Nice work. This car is actually a rebadged Nissan Rouge Sport. They make for excellent daily drivers, but are rather boring otherwise.

After you clayed, did you go right to the Hydro Slick wax?

Any correction needed?

That’s not a rebadge my friend. Same platform, sure, but Mitsubishi did more than badge engineering here.

I’m not sure it’s the same platform. The Outlander uses the ROGUE’s platform. Per Wiki, 🧂, this uses the older GS platform.

I’m not sure either. I was just trying to make a point to the other member that the Eclipse Cross and the Rogue Sport aren’t just rebadged versions.
