If you can't find Delvac 1 easily, you can mix the M1, 10w-30 and 15w-50 in equal parts, which will give you approx a 15w-40 synthetic. That should reduce your oil consumption by at least 50% over the 0w-30. Remember, you can always reduce oil consumption by going to a thicker oil, but performance and fuel efficiency are going to be impacted to some degree.
You could even run the M1, 15w-50 in the summer months - plenty of folks run this oil in four cylinder VW engines and it works fine ....
