I used Mobil 1 0W40 in my Navara turbodiesel. Terrific economy (wasn't doing UOA back then). Decided to try the 0W-40 Castrol (a little cheaper, and wanted to see the 12.9cst benefit in economy)...looks like the HTHS got in the way, and although the viscosity was thinner, I got poorer economy than the Mobil 1.
Would've switched back to the Mobil 1, but tried Magnatec SP 5W-40 and am happy with nearly Mobil 1 fuel consumption, and fairly reasonable wear.
If you come to Lithgow, D1 is around $65 for 5 litres.
In your case, I think the Edge, or the Mobil 1 0W-40. Mobil 1 reckons it carries GF-3, so should use a little less fuel.
