No clue. Could’ve lost it jumping a ditch and catching on a tree or maybe fighting. We don’t have many large deer here due to competition for food, but there are a few old, wise bucks out there that are good at avoiding death.

Thanks, i didn't know if people liked seeing them or not.
I think someone in my neighborhood feeds them, I literally see them at all times of the day just walking through yards. They are neat to watch, but I doubt it is safe for them wanting to be that close to roads. They seem to have no fear of cars or people mowing.

. When younger would see them often . Had one land on me during a warm night . Startled me a bit , luckily I didn't swat it , let it go . Live and let live .
